A little curiosity can take you a long way.

A favorite diner. A river town you have driven past for years. A piece of Ohio history hiding in plain sight. Ohio88Insider helps you find a reason to stop, look around and make a day of it.

What free membership brings together

• Ohio discovery content: locally focused trip ideas, guides, maps, seasonal finds and historical stories to help you plan your next outing.
• Locally owned places: discover independent restaurants and accommodations alongside parks, landmarks and other points of interest.
• A community of explorers: share discoveries, ask questions and swap useful tips with people who enjoy getting to know Ohio.
• Challenges with a purpose: choose an available challenge, follow its rules and explore at your own pace.
• Digital badges and Explorer Points: track eligible challenge progress in the Passport and build a record of your adventures.

Our focus is all 88 counties, organized into five Ohio regions. Coverage and challenges grow as research and preparation are completed; a county appearing on a map does not mean every location has been personally visited.

Start with the Ohio County Diner Challenge

Live in the Passport: visit three different qualifying locally owned restaurants in the same Ohio county. Choose your county, browse its qualifying locations, and record your real visits after signing in.

• Three different qualifying restaurants in one county complete that county’s Diner Challenge.
• The current challenge awards 150 Explorer Points per completed county.
• Completion is honor-based. No purchase, photo upload or GPS proof is required.
• Follow the rules shown on the live challenge page. Only record visits you actually made.

Build a badge collection, one adventure at a time

The public Passport badge cabinet includes county Diner badges, five regional Diner badges and an All 88 Diner badge. Complete the listed requirements to earn the corresponding digital award. These are digital keepsakes in your account, not physical badges sent by mail.

One county can be the setting for more than one challenge and badge as additional challenges become available. Completing one challenge does not automatically complete another: each has its own rules and award requirements.

What is coming next? The Passport currently labels Y-Bridge Check-in, Muskingum River Lock Challenge and Ohio Ice Cream Trail as coming soon. They are not yet playable there. Browse the live directory for current availability.

A few useful answers

Does joining require a credit card?

No. Ohio88Insider membership is free and the free signup does not require a credit card. Your own meals, lodging, travel and any attraction admission are separate costs.

Do I need to finish all 88 counties?

No. Start with a county close to home. Larger regional and statewide badges are goals you can choose to work toward.

Are all challenges available today?

No. Only challenges shown as live in the relevant directory are ready to use. Planned challenges and badge examples are not promises of current availability.

Is the Passport login the same as my community login?

No. Kajabi hosts membership and community access; the Passport has its own sign-in. Keep those access details handy.
